“Where did the time go? It’s definitely been a ride!” Savvy shared in a heartfelt message recognizing the milestone. “I definitely appreciate each and every one of you that’s truly been rockin’ with me throughout.”

For Savvy, the story reaches back to a message on MySpace and his first day on the 8 O’Clock Mixtape. What followed became a significant chapter in his life in music and radio—one built around showing up as himself and staying connected to the people listening.

“I’ve only given you who I AM, and will continue to be, no matter the capacity,” he wrote.

Giving Flowers to His Radio Family

Savvy used the anniversary to recognize the relationships behind his years on air, giving special shout-outs to Hdajio Boyd and Roy Pridgen, aka The Infamous Skee Monee. He also saluted Jackie Paige, affectionately calling her his “troublemaker twin.”

His appreciation extended to his current radio family: Jane Dough, James Johnson, and Danny Lancaster.

“I tip my brim to you all,” he shared.
